different

those drums are so forceful. i just wish the siren noise wouldn't be through the majority of the beginning. maybe if your beats were a bit more structured and you had a deep bass to go with it, it would seem a lot better than it is.

worth a 5. good work, man

dannyNergy responds:

Ziggomatic responds:

crazy

great breaks and melody. this sounds a lot like current value's older tracks. and when that bass kicks in, this is some real shit.

excellent work, man. nothing to even complain about.

oddfellowfloyd responds:

Woohoo! Thank you for the awesome critique, man! Current Value rocks, as does COncord Dawn, Black Sun Empire, IllSkillz, and on and on hehe! ;)

wow

if you add an actual drop and make this into a full track, it would be so incredibly professional, honestly. i love everything about this. nearly flawless.

worth a five sooooonnnn

axeFX responds:

Thane3 responds:

<3 Thanks.

creepy

this belongs in ambient or misc possibly. it doesn't at all resemble a drum and bass track.

if you've ever heard of ratchet and clank, that game series has soundtrack that's very similar. you could go so far with more content like this.

Monkeybt93 responds:

Thank you for the review. The creepy ambient types of songs have always been my favorite to listen to on this site and I have actually been trying to work on one. Techno songs and the drum & bass aren't really my genres of choice. That's why its been a few months since a new release, I just want to make sure the new one I'm working on sounds just right.

incredible bass

your bass is incredible, but it comes in too early. placed it whenever the drop is to make it a hell of a lot more powerful. you've got a really impressive neuro style, too. i love heavy modulation and distortion.

my only complaint is that this track in general is somewhat messy. you have so many noises with reverb and it takes away from the actual bass melody, which is what should be focused on the most. that's why professional neuro tracks don't contain so many background effects and such.

what program do you use?

SteakJohnson responds:

I use fl studio 8, bass here is made from sytrus. And yeah i agree the song is kinda messy, but im a workin on that. Thanks for the review!

nice beat

the vocals are too loud, though. the volume should be lowered so it's almost enough to hear them in the background. the filters you have on it would automatically make it blend in better if you choose to do that.

remove the reverb on your bass, though. that should be your main focus in building a dubstep song, so it should be the clearest noise you hear. if everything sounds like rain and blends too much, you don't get a powerful feel to your track. dubstep needs that feel.

good work

bryce responds:

its not really dubstep those are hip hop drums so i can put all the fucken reverb i want bud

wow

i haven't heard a track like this from you in a while. great breaks, melody, everything just generally flows.

i dislike your trance elements though :(

Rawrthaas responds:

ah well, can't please everyone :) i think my style is culminating towards a nu-breakbeat hardcore style. look up cube hard's micro n2, entity - stargazer (reese remix).. just a couple examples of this relatively new subgenre that's a blend between DNB and freeform hardcore.
