nice transitions

sounds professional as fuck! get some new snares, though, dude :)

SteakJohnson responds:

THEM SNARES SURE DO SOUND OFF... thanks tho lol i will

catchy

nice to hear some funky house around here. your melodies are always so catchy, dude.don't know about whatever sub-genre you're going for so i'm unsure how much criticism i can give, but it sounds pleasant overall.

love the guitar, and that bass-ish noise. this is really something different. i also enjoy your progression since most of your track is just introducing new elements, but also some minor melodies.

transitions are flawless, by the way. wish this was a bit longer, though :)

durn responds:

Aye, I probably could've extended the track a bit with all the new elements I added near the end. Thanks for all the kudos as I'm not really sure what sub-genre I'm going for either. :D

sick

really liking that bass, dude. could use some background atmosphere, though. :)

Namegoeshere responds:

Thanks Flared, I could work something out for it then.

haha

i'm a drum and bass guy myself, but this is intense shit. my house is horrible compared to this ):

ShootingStar responds:

Haha I like drum and bass :) lol might have to check out your work!
Glad you liked it!

original

really sick bass. and the whole glitchy 8-bit aspect of it that most of your reviewers aren't understanding is unique as fuck in my opinion. keep this shit up, dude.

Spikrodd responds:

The lack of 1/8th wobbles and wubs piss off the common folk.

god damn!

might need a new set of balls! by far your best and probably longest work in progress. really like the filtering on the drums for the first 14 seconds. your bass is incredibly rough, too. and that short drop at 0:26 leading into the whole melody after that is seriously sososososo good

might have to get working on that remix, son!

SteakJohnson responds:

thanks , hah i made that rough bass on complete accident, i was trying to make a real smooth bass and then all the sudden ROUGHness.

i will find that remix.....

needs

hard as fuck acoustic snares

but i already love your drumwork

SteakJohnson responds:

yes i agree, it is hard to make hard as fuck snares but have them not clip like crazy lol, compression must be perfect!

sick

clean intro progression and a heavy drop - this is some real neurofunk. newgrounds needs more of this

only criticism, which is barely more than my opinion, bass seems a bit too plain. needs more fine adjustments for the actual sound, but the frequency modulation or whatever you have on it is great

9/10, 5/5, added to favorites, and you're on my favorite artists now

MA3HbO responds:

First of all thanks for the nice review !
This is still a very early version so, hopefully there will be alot more in future versions.I'll probably extend the intro and add some FX sounds and maybe some vocals or some sort of speeches. The drop isn't quite as heavy as i want it to be but i might add just a few sweeping/gliding sounds to it or some alarm synths.
I agree about the bass. When i uploaded the track i thought it was nice but when i heard the track a dozen more times it started to sound quite empty. The melody itself is really basic and the synth isn't really hard.I'll probably add another one with some more grittiness to it and maybe an octave lower. Also my sub bass is a bit weak right now.The bass modulation is just a simple BP filter :)

PS.I've been a fan of your work for some time now but i forgot to add you to my fav artists and now the mistake has been corrected.Cheers and thanks for the support !
