cool

it starts with a smooth, simple melody that slowly progresses into something quite atmospheric. your transitions are almost flawless too, meaning the flow of your progression is executed so entirely well.

my suggestion: lay some high pass automation on your drums for a few seconds, followed by a light, airy background pad. then drop around 1:30 and have a sub bass that follows the melody in pitch change. maybe add a trance-ish synth that accents your snares.

really great work

SpazeMusic responds:

Thanks, i'll think about it, sounds good! :D

improvement

your snares got a lot harder. and this is probably your best track. really nice neuro style

rough

i've heard some hard dubstep before, but this just tops it.

thecokebitch responds:

too much! haha

what the fuck?

no offense by this at all, but some of your tracks are incredibly professional, while others are completely standard drum and bass. everything in this track is so intricate, and i love those hard metallic snares. this is true neurofunk

mind if i remix this shit, too?

not sure

i love most of your tracks, but because your style is neuro-like, it's hard to understand it completely. i don't know a lot about technicality, but there isn't enough variation. it needs some slower parts, maybe some hat change-ups. add in some smaller drops like: "kick, no hat, snare, continued bar" with no noise where the absence of the hat is. beats like that are what drive neurofunk.

i think your shit would sound so much better if you could manage a more solid beat. however, i don't know if your focus is newgrounds-related action tracks or if you're leaning towards professional drum and bass.

SteakJohnson responds:

im goin for more professional but the finished vers of this's more professional sounding and has much more variation. You're right about the hats though, people need breaks from em (especially since in this preview the treble is pretty much overdriven). But thanks though for the advice. I kinda like to switch back n forth between (attempted) professional sounding and newgroundsy, maybe find myself somewhere inbetween the styles.

liquid is good

because it's so hard to come across realistic drum and bass tracks here, it makes it almost a remarkable experience to find one.

incredibly sick work, man

professional

incredibly solid for a newgrounds track

landscapers1 responds:
